Fairy Flu Season Is Back!!

Between October and February every year, fairies can be suddenly struck down with Fairy Flu! Although fairies are very careful around this time of the
year, some (especially the newly trained and young fairies) can forget to take the necessary precautions to ensure that they don’t get unwell. Fairy
Flu affects fairies in the following ways:

  • Non-stop giggling (giving them sore sides)
  • Sudden loss of flying abilities
  • Extra fast hair growing
  • Hiccups
  • Toe wriggling

There are a few ways to check if your fairy is sick or becoming unwell. If you encounter any of the following, action must be taken immediately to
ensure a return to good health:

  • If black or brown spots suddenly appear on your fairy door
  • If there is a smell of stinky cheese coming from your fairy door
  • If your fairy door is REALLY cold to touch – like we mean freezing cold
  • If your fairy stops eating the treats you have left out for them
  • If the notes from your fairy suddenly start appearing in a language you don’t understand like gobbledygook

If you notice any one (or two in some cases) of the above signs, please take the appropriate action outlined below. Please also note that you are under
fairy law obligation (as laid out in the Lease Agreement) to act as quickly as possible! To help fairies get well, or to ensure they don’t get
sick over the winter months, we advise making the following Fairy Vitamin Drink and leaving it outside your fairy door as soon as possible. Here
at The Irish Fairy Door Company, we have already begun making batches of the Vitamin Drink. However, we are unable to dispatch it all over the
world in the quantity needed so we are sharing this secret recipe with all our families in the hope of keeping all our tiny winged friends happy
and healthy. Please ask a big person to help you. You will need the following ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons of still bottled water
  • 3 drops of lemon juice
  • 2 grains of sugar
  • 1 drop of vinegar
  • A pinch of pepper

Method:

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl or mug at one of the following times of the day – 12.15pm, 3.45pm, 18.15pm or 19.30pm. It is only
at these times that the recipe will be successful.
  2. Stir the mixture 5 times to the right and seven times to the left, making sure to think happy and healthy thoughts while mixing.
  3. Once the mixture is complete, only one thing remains – get a leaf from your garden to stand the mixture on. It must be a leaf still attached to
a tree and not one you have found lying on the ground.
  4. Cover the leaf with your container and everyone in the room should count to 90 together. This allows nature to move directly into your mixture,
which makes it super strong. Now the Vitamin Drink is ready and can be left outside your fairy door the same night it’s made.
  5. Place the mixture into a fairy-sized container (you can use an egg cup or small beaker). Your fairy will only need a small amount so if there is
any left over, please ensure that you pour the rest down the sink.

Follow the instructions to the letter and you will be guaranteed to have a happy and healthy fairy throughout the winter period! (Please note that
in Australia and New Zealand, Fairy Flu strikes between May and September). Good luck and thank you in advance for your help with this very serious
fairy health issue!
